Overview

The New Patient Coordinator performs various routine and complex clerical tasks and interacts with new patients, family members, visitors and clinic personnel in other departments to ensure positive internal and public relations.

Robinson and Terry Payton founded the Northwest Arkansas Pediatric Clinic in 1983 to provide comprehensive care for children from infancy to adolescence. How to ApplyTo apply for a position at any MANA Clinic, you must complete a MANA employment application. Applicants may list the position(s) they are interested in applying on the application and only need to complete one application. Applications are reviewed by the Human Resources Department at the MANA Administrative Office and are shared with the clinic managers. Applications are kept in our database for managers to review for six (6) months. MANA is an equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the completion of all incoming new patients as assigned oLocating an appointment in a timely manner depending on the situation.
  • Schedule new and return appointments according to scheduling parameters set for each provider.
  • Registers all patients accurately in the EMR system and mails (emails) new patient packets to all new patients.
  • Ensures the patients chart is up to date with patient demographics, medical records and verify insurance information prior to new patient scheduling. oArranges transfer of medical records and immunization records when necessary.

Qualifications

Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
