GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Business Account Specialist (BAS) will be responsible for business customer retention/renewal, upgrades, and various customer support activities. The BAS will work with the field sales team, Mediacom Business, and BTSC in these efforts. The daily duties of this position will comprise of system research on accounts, reporting, phone calls to customer, and site visits.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for renewing accounts within 90 days prior to expiration. Expectation to renew 80% or more of the revenue in any given month. 
• Responsible for upgrading existing accounts regardless of contractual status. The BAS will work closely with the field sales team to identify and approach customers with upgrade opportunities.
• Handling all site visits for various situations that require a Mediacom representative to visit a customer in person. (i.e. Change of Ownership, billing issues/disputes, etc.)
• Attend various marketing functions including but not limited to Chamber of Commerce events and company sponsored activities.
• Meet/exceed monthly renewal/upgrade goals as defined in the performance policy.
• Ensures that all customers receive the best possible support and service.
• Resolves any contractual concerns that might occur during the course of the service agreement.
• Utilize on a daily basis customer tracking and contract management system to document sales activity.
• Prepares and forwards various progress reports to the appropriate manager.
• Completes required documentation, reporting, and filing of service contracts.
• Maintains ongoing relationship with commercial customers.
• Other functions as assigned by management.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good written and oral communications skills.
• Two years outside sales experience preferably business to business.
• Commercial telecommunications sales experience preferred.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.
