PURPOSE: The Contracts Analyst’s / offer development role main purpose is to analyze, evaluate and refine processes within the contract management department. Assistance with the implementation and support of business systems, data, and analytics within National Accounts. Collaboration with financial reporting team to develop initiatives and strategies that optimize contract performance and improve internal and external reporting/communication. Identify problems and opportunities within the contracting process and ultimately provide solutions that help achieve the business' goals.

 GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct market analysis, analyzing both product lines and the overall profitability of the business. In addition, develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met. In addition to strong technology, analytical and communication skills, the Contracts Analyst will be expected to perform the following duties:

• Work closely with Director, Strategic Accounts & Contracts to assist with business planning, high impact pricing/business analytics, comprehensive contract management and decision support to maximize revenue growth and profitability within Strategic Accounts.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for large-scale national Requests for Proposals (RFPs) across multiple sales divisions, with responsibilities including critical financial modelling/analytics, and development and coordination of RFP responses. Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including pricing metrics, revenue, contract compliance, contract performance metrics.

• Develop, interpret, and disseminate contract specific performance reporting and trend analysis to sales executives in a timely manner, leveraging analytical tools and producing customized contract reporting as required.

• Maintain a complete understanding of contract requirements to ensure all applicable contract obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.

• Work cross-functionally with legal, finance and marketing as well as other departments to ensure effective workflow throughout the contract lifecycle and consistent process execution.

• Identify and support implementation of best practices, processes, and tools to ensure effective workflow throughout the contract lifecycle, consistent process execution and unified approaches that maximizes sales support execution, quality, effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.

• Manage financial accruals, optimizing the ratio of contract accruals to settlements.

• Champion and drive the utilization of our contract management suite of tools to administer customer contracts and provide sales management with the necessary analytics and information to make quality contracting decisions and optimize revenue and profitability.

• Collaborate and partner directly with the Corporate Sales organization and where required, provide direct customer interaction to insure effective contract execution.

• The Contracts Analyst is expected to develop new models that underpin sound business decisions. The Contracts Analyst should recognize the streamlining and improvement of internal and external reporting. The role should also call for a strong understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements as well as plenty of experience in forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis combined with understanding key performance indicators.

• An important aspect of the offer development role is to provide financial insights that help the decision-making process and align pricing models to optimize customer contracts.. The Contracts Analyst should also drive fresh initiatives for financial planning and business intelligence systems.

 SKILL AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience working with senior decision makers

• A bachelor’s degree in business, related field, or an MBA

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or related field

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing and contracting management

• Advanced level Excel skills required

• Competency in Microsoft applications: Power Point, Word and Outlook

• SAP experience desired

• Strong communication/interpersonal skills

• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills

• Excellent documentation skills

• Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills

• Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations

• A track record of following through on commitments

• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
