Job Purpose 

The Software Developer will collaborate with a talented team to gather and execute on data-related business initiatives, automation, reporting, and functionality improvements. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to work on AI/ML projects.
We’re looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail and top-notch organization skills. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize and support multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Automate extraction of data from flat text files
• Automate data imports into various databases
• Develop and enhance inter-database collaboration and exchange of specific subsets
• Develop and maintain applications, as well as expand functionality through automation
• Develop and maintain user-facing tools (web/client) that manage data functions and workflows
• Expand use of APIs to integrate with relevant 3rd party systems
• Maintain documentation of developed solutions and contribute to existing documentation
• Use, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 4 year college degree or work equivalency
• 3-5 years of database programming experience
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently; prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines are met; communicate delays and escalate, as needed
• Must be detail-oriented to verify own work
• Understands the principals of object oriented programming
• Experience with programming languages (any is acceptable): C#, VB, Python, Java, C
• Experience with web services and restful APIs

Preferred Skills:

• Working experience or general understanding of healthcare claims and billing processes
• Familiarity with X12 EDI structure for Healthcare Claims Submission (837/835) and Eligibility (270/271)
• Solid experience with SQL: T-SQL
• Experience with .Net Framework
• Experience with Microsoft SSRS
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau
