Mecco Inc. is Hiring a Receiving Associate Near Cranberry Township, PA

Position summary:
The Receiving Associate will be responsible for receiving all incoming shipments and materials. Materials must be entered into the company business systems, tracked with complete accuracy, and stored in correct locations.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
  • Receive all incoming shipments and materials, including but not limited to:
  • Receive material against Purchase Orders (PO’s).
  • Accept and unpack incoming materials and supplies.
  • Move materials and supplies to appropriate location(s).
  • Update and maintain the ERP system, including but not limited to:
  • Enter Purchase Order receipts into the ERP system, discerning quantity differences as needed.
  • Log-in RMA’s and materials
  • Report damaged incoming materials to Supply Chain Manager and appropriate logistics carrier.
  • Receive and deliver supplies and equipment.
  • Pull material for jobs and complete job material transactions.
  • Cross-train with Shipping Associate, including performing Shipping duties in the absence of the Shipping Associate, or when additional help is needed.
  • Perform inventory cycle counting.
  • Operate shipping/receiving equipment, such as a forklift, pallet jack, or pallet lifter, as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Incumbent will be required to use a computer with keyboard, telephone or handheld mobile device for extended periods of time, and office machinery as needed.
  • Individual will be required to use basic hand tools on occasion.
  • The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts while performing the duties of this job.
  • Work involves occasional exposure to unpleasant elements, such as fumes, loud noises, etc.
  • Individual will be required to lift, push, pull, and carry up to seventy five (75) pounds occasionally, and/or up to fifty (50) pounds frequently, and/or up to twenty (20) pounds constantly.
  • Incumbent must be able to read, see, hear, and speak.
Work Days and Shifts:
Position works Monday – Friday, daylight hours, and additional time as needed to complete work.
Education/Certification(s)/License(s) required:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • May be required to participate in safety trainings and/or certifications provided by the Company or customers.
  • Valid driver’s license, as employee may be required to travel as needed.
  • Forklift Operator License preferred.
Experience/Other required:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of shipping/receiving best practices.
  • Experience in a high paced environment, manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
