The Role:

The Director of Information Technology provides leadership and oversight of technology strategy and infrastructure. Reporting to the CTO/CIO, responsibilities include implementing, supporting, and managing all technology systems and infrastructure as well as ensuring the availability, integrity and security of all technology platforms. This is a hands-on role which provides an opportunity to have a significant impact within our fast-growing organization. This is a highly visible leadership role where you can be a significant contributor in creating new capabilities in a high-energy, growth environment.

The Responsibilities:

• Continuously assess the overall IT infrastructure and organization related to people, processes, and technology to ensure high efficiency and effectiveness
• Research & recommend strategic alternatives when improvements opportunities are identified
• Establish project plans and execute on approved initiatives with visibility and communications along the way
• Serve as the Director of Security and assume ultimate responsibility for the Cyber / Information Security / Physical Security program, ensuring best in class security posture for Meazure Learning’s worldwide footprint
• Oversee and optimize hardware acquisitions & technology vendor negotiations with close cooperation with the facilities, purchasing and legal functions at Meazure Learning; assume oversight of the IT budget planning and execution
• Ensure compliance with best-in-class company governance across the IT landscape
• Drive the top-level critical business systems projects to meet the transformational business needs present at Meazure Learning today and anticipate those of the future
• Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise team members and contractors, promoting accountability for assigned work; mentor team members on career growth
• Encourage innovation, outside-the-box thinking, and teamwork; instill a mindset of continuous improvement
• Foster a culture of transparency and accountability, optimal individual contribution, and teamwork
• Execute other phases of the performance management life cycle not already mentioned such as goal-setting, rewarding, disciplining, and conducting annual performance appraisals
• Other relevant projects as needed or assigned

The Desired Attributes:

• 10 years of progressive experience and demonstrated growth in Information Technology roles, including 3 years current leadership experience managing and administering a major IT operation. Preferably in the field of Education Technology or the Call Center industry.
• Experience managing international data infrastructure is required 
• Experience managing Google's G-Suite strongly desired 
• Experience in both large, mature companies as well as small, high-growth, entrepreneurial companies is desired as this person will create, develop, communicate and enforce data policies. 
• Audit / security / compliance experience, particularly with SOC Type II audit is strongly preferred.
