JOB DESCRIPTION

Shipping personnel are required to pull the correct product that the customers order in the correct quantities. All product must be pulled, scanned and confirmed. Any shortages must be communicated to the customers and the sales rep in order to sub like product if necessary. A seal is issued to each truck hauling product for Meats by Linz. Before loading the temperature of the truck must taken and recorded.

Receiving personnel are required to make sure the trucks making deliveries are either locked or have a seal on the door to conform to our food defense program. After checking for locks or seals on the doors the person is required to print the purchase order and start receiving by checking the temperature of the truck and the product and recording it on the appropriate paperwork. Product is removed from truck and accuracy of the order is confirmed. If there is a discrepancy of quality of product, box count or damage, that information has to be given to the purchaser. Once the product has been approved for receipt it must be scanned into inventory and put into the proper location. If pallet of product is stacked on top of other product a plastic spreader must be used to protect the product on the bottom form puncture.

Check all equipment and make sure it gets charged for the next day.

Follow all safety rules for pallet jacks and rider lifts.

Report any issues on any of the equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Experience:

Experience in a fast-paced environment helpful; Must have excellent fork lift skills. Riding lifts skills are a plus
