Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will act as a universal worker engaging residents in activities, performing light housekeeping, and assisting residents with activities of daily living in the most respectful and compassionate way possible.

Essential Functions of the Certified Nursing Assistant Job:

• Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADL's) including, but not limited to assisting with meals as needed, assisting in bathing by washing and drying areas of the body that are difficult to reach, assisting in toileting, assisting residents with oral hygiene, etc.

• Assist residents with transfers as needed (i.e., in getting in and out of beds, wheelchairs, bathtubs, etc.)

• Assists with preparing, plating/serving meals and snacks for residents.

• Make rounds at least every hour, on all shifts.

• Honor Resident Bill of Rights.

• Supports Mease Life's mission and vision.

• As a legal and moral responsibility, immediately reports all witnessed or suspected resident abuse, neglect, exploitation, or misappropriation of funds to the department director.

• All other duties as assigned.

CNA - Credentials/Experience:

• Two years of dementia care experience preferred.

• Complete required dementia training upon hire, according to State regulations.
