Responsibilities

This position will work mostly independently and will conduct surveys throughout Wisconsin.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading day to day field operations
  • writing proposals
  • Reviewing survey plats and legal descriptions
  • Operating robotic total stations
  • Performing courthouse research
  • Conducting topographic surveys and boundary surveys
  • Construction site staking

This position requires heavy lifting and working outside in a variety of conditions on a regular basis. Travel to construction sites throughout the state is an essential function of this position; a valid driver’s license is required. Extended hours and overnight stays may be required.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • An associate degree (or higher) in land surveying, civil engineering, or related field and at least six years of relevant experience

OR

  • A bachelor’s degree in land surveying, civil engineering, or related field and at least four years of relevant experience 

AND 

  • Registered Land Surveyor license required in the Wisconsin

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

  • Boundary and topographic surveys
  • Surveying equipment such as data collectors, robotic total stations and GPS devices
  • Plat development including property record review and research
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
