SUMMARY: MDF Development is a residential building company specializing in ultra-luxury construction, concierge service and exceptional quality. The Project Coordinator is responsible for working hand-in-hand with the Project Manager to assist in all aspects of project coordinating, bidding and procurement.
RESPONSIBILITIES & COMPETENCIES:
- Embrace and uphold MDF process, utilizing effective internal communication, proactivity, and organizational skills. Utilize and maintain appropriate software for all aspects of Project Management.
- Assist Project Manager with bidding process as directed. Review bids, shop drawings, and proposals for accuracy and to ensure design intent is reflected, with minimal mistakes or oversights, for final approval by Project Manager. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
- Procures materials, fixtures and finishes as outlined in interior design schedules and specification book, while utilizing BuilderTrend for approvals. Work with Project Manager and Field Managers to coordinate delivery of materials to site. Coordinate returns in conjunction with Accounting Department.
- Schedule and attend meetings with design/architecture teams, clients, and/or construction team, take notes and distribute action items. Participate in site walks to support Project Managers, Field Managers, and Interior Designers, take notes, and distribute action items.
- Create concierge level experience for clients via frequent and effective external communication and coordination, in conjunction with Project Manager. Respond quickly to client needs and manage difficult or emotional clients with the upmost professionalism.
- Have thorough understanding of project blueprints, interior design specification book and all associated construction documents to implement design and provide oversight in the field. Partner with Interior Design to help identify suppliers and work through logistics of custom features.
- Assist Project Manager to stay on budget and adhere to project timelines. Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise in conjunction with Project Manager, while communicating project status and updates to team and clientele as needed.
- Maintain company inventory in conjunction with other Project Coordinators.
- Perform vendor management, including setting up new vendors, material tracking and reporting backorders.
