A larger firm of 330 employees with a boutique firm atmosphere. 

We are currently seeking a Construction Administrator to join our team (s). As a Construction Administrator you will be responsible for supporting the project teams and providing project process guidance. 

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for completed and comprehensive plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction.
  • Provide limited, high level, production supervision as necessary for work involving a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
  • The application of sound and diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices in a broad array of assignments and related fields.
  • The ability to act independently regarding architectural methods and complexities.
  • Utilization of advanced techniques and modify/extend theories, precepts, and practices.
  • Supervise the preparation and check the accuracy of contract documents.
  • Incorporate applicable codes, construction techniques, and sequences in various projects including all aspects of cross disciplines.
  • Supervise and/or perform site observations, such as recording and reporting of existing conditions and construction progress.
  • Handle problems and questions as they occur during construction. Maintain responsibility for project cost control.
  • Responsible for external communications such as making telephone calls and preparing correspondence to clients, officials, and contractors as required by various projects.
  • Write reports such as feasibility studies, condition reports, and recommendations.
  • Supervise and perform building code reviews and prepare applications.
  • Responsible for major design decisions, involving spatial, aesthetic elements, and detailing of materials.
  • Document the progression of a routine project through correspondence, memos, etc. Follow routine projects through approvals and construction. Initiate contact with client and building officials.
  • Exercise professional judgment in areas of contractual liability.
  • Make public presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent
  • Registered as a licensed architect with experience in practice areas of industrial development.
  • Ability to provide business development for firm within practice expertise area.
  • 6-8 years combined experience as an intern architect and/or architect.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, and Revit.
  • Firm grasp of building technology fundamentals.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant codes, operations, processes, and trends.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills.
