The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding aStrategic Account Manager to our growing Energy division inDenver, CO. Lead client growth, retention and renewal through delivery of quality, value, relationship building/maintenance and delivering upon client’s business objectives. Ensure continuity, quality, risk mitigation, and profitability through all cycles of a project to develop legacy client relationships that meet client needs and promote business opportunities. Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include:

  • Act as an escalation point for resolving complex customer requirements.
  • Reviews proposals from other lines of business before being delivered.
  • Responsible for the overall financial performance of account teams.
  • Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution and compliance on client deliverables.
  • Responsible for holding internal teams to meeting client commitments.
  • Lead client growth by identifying and pursuing expansion opportunities for new and existing clients while collaborating with Business Development.
  • Renew and expand services within assigned client base.
  • Work with clients and development staff to develop technical, high value solutions that solve our client’s needs.
  • Inform internal and external customers of new offerings and upgrades.
  • Formulate business and sales strategy with team to drive additional work with our customers.
  • Support sales staff by generating preliminary assessments, technical solutions, fee proposals, presentations, studies, and other sales support and project development information and materials.
  • Provides support to the customer with regards to projects financing and contracting issues.
  • Initiates and develops personal relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Utilizes McKinstry’s tools and processes to support our customer relationship strategies.
  • Assists Operations Managers in training, mentoring and management of Account Managers and Account Associates in affective tactics to attain team goals.
  • Assists Operations Manager in creating performance plans, assessment of performance and providing performance feedback for Account Managers and Account Associates.
  • Lead successful operational project and services teams.
  • Act as steward of McKinstry culture; communicate and influence policies and procedures.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Must have demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of an Account Manager.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred, knowledge of CRM a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction, management, business administration or related field required. This knowledge may be gained through 4 years applicable work experience in construction or facilities management companies.
  • Minimum five (5) years customer account management experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals and estimates required.
  • Knowledge of building infrastructure mechanical and electrical systems required.
  • Desire to help clients improve their operations through the use of McKinstry’s lines of business.

The pay range for this position is $92,520 - $144,590 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
