Purpose
To help answer deeper quantitative questions about media buying and automate routine analytics tasks. In addition to extending the current data architecture, the Media Analyst will assist in monitoring media performance, ad hoc reporting requests, and troubleshooting problematic media buying and reporting integrations.
Responsibilities
Data Collection
- Manage timely data collection from vendors and reporting systems
- Identify anomalies in raw data
- Extend data architecture as needed for supplemental data
Analysis
- Monitor system integrations with media buying and reporting systems
- Identify opportunities to improve media buying strategy
- Generate campaign insights
- Assist media team with client reporting and ad hoc requests

Professional Skills & Knowledge
Strong skill set in data analysis and mathematics with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Understanding of common programming concepts. Basic comprehension of computer science.
Strong quantitative skills and the ability to draw insights from extremely large datasets. Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize and triage workflow. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and thrive in a team-oriented fast-paced deadline driven environment.
Experience
Experience with databases (SQL, Hadoop, Spark), programming for analytics (Python or R), and exposure to cloud computing (AWS,Azure or Google Cloud). Nice to have programmatic media buying
experience. Prior experience with digital ad ops is a plus. Hands on experience with self-service demand side platforms (DSPs) and data management platforms(DMPs).
