Current Need: We are seeking an experienced Strategic Planning Manager within our $90 billion Strategic Accounts business. The Strategic Accounts segment is comprised of top retail national accounts within the US. For this role, we are in search of a key contributor who will manage the analytics and research activities to support our segment’s business strategy and long-range goal planning, support strategic initiatives, and support the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals. Key Responsibilities: Analyze emerging industry trends, competitive threats, and overall market dynamics. Synthesize market data into business insights. Establish analytical frameworks and conduct complex business analysis. Monitor internal business performance and recommend business process improvement initiatives. Support the definition, tracking, and communication of segment goals and priorities. Collaborate across marketing, sales, operations, finance, corporate strategy, legal, sales support, and enterprise-wide functions to align on strategic direction for the customer segment. Support financial goals including budget development, GP and AOP targets. Own discreet threads of work and drive analysis to successful completion. Create high-quality presentations / deliverables for internal and external audiences. Develop productive working relationships with stakeholders across the enterprise. Minimum Requirements Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4 years of experience Critical Skills 5 years of prior strategy or healthcare consulting and / or relevant industry experience Driving complex company and market analyses Building a strong working knowledge of the stakeholders and dynamics in healthcare Dealing with ambiguity and putting structure around problems / tasks with limited guidance Applying strategic and analytical thinking to deliver business insights Excellent organization, execution, and project management capabilities with attention to detail Demonstrated outstanding written, verbal and communications skills Proficient at managing multiple projects with tight and often competing deadlines Self-starter with an intellectual curiosity, motivated to keep moving forward and find new ways to solve challenging and complex business issues Ability to track and effectively communicate project goals, timelines, and metrics Manage special projects and flex when needed Additional Skills: Experience in healthcare industry preferred Strategy consulting experience preferred Education: 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or other relevant field MBA or other relevant master’s program preferred Physical Requirements: General office demands McKesson is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
