The Facilities Assistant candidate will be trained with the skills to be well-rounded, and knowledgeable of our complex dispensing system. This position will potentially lead from an assistant to a Facilities Engineer position. Available Shift: Sun – Thurs 11:00 am – 7:30 pm KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of challenging electronic and electro-mechanical systems in a distribution center environment. Provide support for all facility systems and equipment including but not limited to conveyors, A-Frames, Printers, Strappers, Compressors, and other automated technologies. Adherence to our standard operating procedures. Able to communicate intelligently and effectively with contractors who perform, maintenance or upgrade work on facility systems. Proven ability to work alongside facilities engineers, IT personnel and our partner. Acquire and develop skills in all phases of facility maintenance such as: Painting Drywall repair Cleaning common areas Label roll changing Garbage disposal Familiarization of parts Familiarization of tools REQUIREMENTS: Competent with basic hand and power tools. Ability to solve problems and trace issues back to the root cause. Demonstrate the ability to learn and develop skillset over the course of time and or training sessions. Enthusiasm to learn quickly and address issues as they arise during normal working hours. Must have flexibility with work hours and days, including holidays and short notice call in. Willing to travel to assist on other sites. Able to communicate and motivate team members under normal conditions as well as during times of high-pressure situations due to system failures. Willing to learn LOTO and OSHA regulations. EDUCATION: HS Diploma, Associate degree, trade school certification, or other verifiable training in a relevant technical field.
