Job Title: Financial Analyst
Reports To: CFO
FLSA: Salaried (exempt)

Summary:

The Financial Analyst will work directly with the Manager of FP&A to analyze business segments within the Crownstone Equipment Network business unit. The successful candidate will assist the Manager of FP&A in monitoring departments to ensure profitability and assist in decreasing expenses where necessary. They will be responsible for implementing and executing these processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to the following):

  • Analyzes business segments for spending efficiencies - as assigned and ad-hoc
  • Running most popular item reports/customers & distribution to the respective departments
  • Monitoring margins across our branch network and reporting red flags
  • Running stale customer reporting & distribution to appropriate leadership staff
  • Analyzing the service G/L setup to look for inefficiencies and reporting to leadership when appropriate
  • Provides budgeting and forecasting support for specified departments
  • Prepares reports and projections based on financial data within the parts and service departments
  • Creates financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision-making processes
  • Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data
  • Performs other duties/ad-hoc analysis as assigned

Educational & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (will consider applicants with an expected graduation in December of 2022)
  • One to three years of professional experience as an accountant, analyst, or auditor preferred
    • Previous parts and/or service experience is a plus
    • Candidates with related certifications (CPA, CMA, CFA, etc.) and less than 3 years’ experience are also welcomed

Other Requirements:

  • Self-motivated with a bias for action
  • Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines handle multiple assignments under time constraints
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional proficiency in applicable Microsoft Excel skills such as pivot tables, lookups, sum-ifs, and data cleansing methods
  • Strong financial modeling skills – ability to build a dynamic financial model from scratch
  • Understanding of accounting chart of accounts structures
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work limited overtime (days, evenings, weekends) to meet business needs Understanding of SQL database structure is a plus
  • Ability to co-operate with similar roles across business units
  • Understanding of project management is a plus

Essential Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifteen (15) pounds. Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
