McFarland Clinic is currently accepting application for Optician for its West Ames office. This position offers outstanding advancement potential as certification is possible in as little as SIX MONTHS! Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
Responsibilities include: repair, adjust & dispense prescription lenses and frames. Measures and fits all eye wear. Takes measurement and evaluates patients for assistance in lens design. Files paperwork to insurance. Completes daily sales and receipts. Prepares bank deposits. Edges lenses in our in-house laboratory and surfacing.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED/HiSET
Certification/License
- ABO certified preferred, not required.
Day: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Experience
- One year of optical industry experience preferred, but not required.
- One year of sales experience preferred.
- On the job training available.
