Overview

We are currently looking to fill a full-time position in our BIM department. You will be implementing BIM technology to assist in the construction coordination process. This position will give you the chance to work on some of the top construction projects in the DC/Northern Virginia Area. Responsibilities

As a BIM Coordinator with MBP, you will be working in a fast-paced construction environment driving exceptional quality and service for major commercial, education, and retail projects. Specific Responsibilities will include:

• Review 3D Models from consultants and contractors
• Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using NavisWorks Manage
• Audit and review models in Autodesk Revit
• Hold weekly coordination meetings with project team members
• Early design review and constructability analysis
• Manage / Update BIM Project Documents
• Perform regular in-situ reviews of the 3D Model and actual work progress in the field
• 3D Model Quantity Extraction / Verification
• 4D Scheduling / Simulation using Autodesk NavisWorks and Synchro Pro

Qualifications

As a BIM Coordinator you will need to be highly organized, detail-oriented, hardworking and could effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels. Specific qualification includes:

• Knowledge in Autodesk Revit, NavisWorks , AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ContextCapture, and other similar tools.
• Knowledge of basic construction processes and procedures
• Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
• Experience with Primavera P6 preferred
• Experience conducting data analytics tasks using Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, or similar.
• Completed coursework in Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or an equivalent combination of training and or work experience.
• BIM knowledge and interest in working with Construction Technology

Education/Knowledge

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or similar degree. Up to five years technology-related construction experience, including BIM construction coordination experience preferred. 

Guidance/Responsibility: 

• Assignments are generally received from Senior Engineer, Construction Manager or Project Manager.
• Ability to work independently seeking periodic guidance and direction. 
• Public and client interface.

Supervisory:

No supervisory requirements.
