Accountant/Accounts Payable
Full Job Description
Process Accounts Payable invoices including posting, obtaining payment approvals, processing payments, and filing. Compares invoices to contracts for accuracy. Maintain the recurring invoice approval listing and delegation of authority listing; recommends changes.
Follow up on outstanding checks on a quarterly basis to ensure vendors are paid promptly.
Follow-up monthly on overdue receivables.
Assist with the preparation of the annual 1099 distribution.
Ensure staff members understand and follow the approval process and budget process around both accounts payable and billings.
Research and resolve accounting issues by working with vendors, customers, and management.
Monitor the time and expense module for proper user/account set-up, time and expense entry, and produce reports for payroll.
Assist with various system reports, correspondence, charts, tables, graphs, and budgets.
Perform support function as laid out in the process documents.
Perform routine accounting tasks and administrative functions for the finance and accounting department.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
* Qualifications: *
Associates degree, or previous accounting experience
3 years of accounting and administrative experience
Possess strong PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with accounting systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
