Essential Functions and Responsibilities Promotes, suggests and sells merchandise Merchandising skills and attention to detail Unpacks, sensors, and prices all merchandise in an organized and timely manner Meets attendance requirements Responsible for keeping up with product knowledge of all the brands and vendors carried in the store Competence when processing cash, travelers checks, checks, credit cards, and room charges. Maintains cleanliness of store, fixtures and merchandise Fills out requisition forms Restocks all needed areas of the store Greets all guests Thanks and uses all guests’ names when available Must be able to complete and have knowledge all aspects of the job on a regular basis Supportive Functions and Responsibilities Notifies immediate supervisor promptly and fully of all problems and/or unusual matters of significance Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions Promotes and applies teamwork skill at all times Is polite, friendly, and helpful to all guests, management and fellow employees Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards Complies with required safety regulations and procedures Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules Recycles whenever possible Remains current with hotel information and changes Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards Other duties as assigned Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays Must have a professional appearance Must be fluent in English (read, write, speak) with clear telephone skills Merchandising competence with organizational skills and attention to detail is required Natural ability to communicate with others; orally and written Must be customer service oriented and possess the ability to up sell Excellent hospitality skills Related Retail experience an asset Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
