Overview

Position Summary

Independently perform all duties necessary to ensure all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible. The Inventory Coordinator also oversees inventory management processes and resolves any issue that arise.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective storage methods and location labels / area identifications; recommend modifications and/or changes for inventory storage or management methods
• Conduct various inventory counts and data entry operations such as cycle counts and inventory location changes
• Recognize challenges affecting inventory accuracy, customer shipments or material storage; aid in the development and implementation of processes to correct any unfavorable conditions
• Maintain records and assist in performance of inventory and safety audits
• Perform root-cause analysis for inventory discrepancies as directed
• Manage inventory distribution of both customer and vendor returns
• Operate computer to perform Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system functions as well as Pacejet manifest system and maintain shipping/receiving records
• Ensure adequate stock levels are moved via bin transfer process into primary pick locations
• Inspect, bundle, count and verify product or material specified on fabrication and/or delivery ticket
• Prepare, complete and process necessary paperwork; enter ship quantities in the system
• Load and unload trucks as required
• Move, handle and store material as necessary to meet scheduled ship dates
• Pull inventory items for shipment; replenish inventory of stocked inventory; provide inventory cycle counts and record into the system
• Operate forklifts as required, valid forklift operator’s license preferred
• Receive products and record the products into the ERP system
• Perform duties to establish Mazzella Quality Assurance Standards; report defective or substandard material, supplies or products
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition; follow all Safety Guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

A high school diploma or GED is required, trade school preferred

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in operational procedures, product knowledge and application or other appropriate experiences strongly preferred
• Ability to operate forklifts; both reach and sit down
• Experience in rigging and lifting preferred
• Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds
• Requires solid written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required
• Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required
• Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
