What it takes to be a MAINTENANCE ELECTROMECHANICAL with MEC:
  • Apprenticeship, Associate Degree, or equivalent training, plus three to five years’ experience is required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Accepts responsibility for own actions including failure.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to train, communicate, and work with others.
  • Ability to lift and move 50 pounds


What you will be doing as a MAINTENANCE ELECTROMECHANICAL:

  • Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems and makes necessary repairs.
  • Repairs or upgrades equipment for improved operations.
  • Assists others to ensure equipment is properly maintained.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Start devices to test their performance.
  • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
  • Reads blueprints.
