Overview
We’re so glad you are interested in the CNC Machinist position. This position will be based out of Byron Center, MI. facility. This opening was created due to a retirement of a long-term team member.

Responsibilities
- Ability to create CNC programs within SolidCAM
- Ability to run/operate a HAAS CNC vertical mill with 4th axis
- Operations include milling, drilling, threading, turning, boring, recessing, profile or contouring, etc. to the capacity of the machine
- Select/recommend tooling to maximize machine efficiency for variety of materials
- Set up and other tasks may include use of manual mill and lathe along with other shop tools or equipment
- Perform PM on machines as needed and keep clean work area
- May set up machines for and instruct/train other operators how to run
- Work with other team members to finish builds on time
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent with 5 year machining background
- Broad knowledge of machining technology, mechanical principals, advance shop mathematics, layout and precision measuring, setup and operating methods, tooling types, and fixturing
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Experience in SolidWorks and SolidCAM preferred
- Experience building custom jigs and fixtures
- Decision making and problem-solving skills
- Able to provide instruction on basic CNC programing to other team members
