The Network Administrator position installs, modifies and makes repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems, provides technical advice and support to system users but mainly serves as a tier 1 level of support for our restaurants – Biaggi’s and Ancho & Agave.
Essential Job Functions
Installs hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives on users’ premises.
Loads appropriate software packages such as operating systems, networking components and office applications.
Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users’ requirements.
Provides telephone, in-person and online support to end-users.
Provides updates, status and completion information to managers and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication in a timely manner as directed by Department Head.
Refers major hardware and software problems to service personnel for correction.
Connects users to networks and provides initial training in technology and applications.
Assists with menu changes including but not limited to price changes, new items, changing items, and pricing tier adjustments.
Assists in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Skills and Abilities
This is a full-time position, hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines or as job duties demand as well as a rotating on-call for nights and weekends to provide support to our restaurants during operational hours. May periodically travel to restaurant locations.
This position will require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit our restaurant locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 - 50 pounds, as well as good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information. Training on all systems will be provided.
2 years in a helpdesk position. POS and/or Restaurant experience a bonus. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, Windows Server, and Office365.
