Matrix New World (Matrix) is currently looking for a Field Technician to join our team of Groundwater Resource and Environmental Consulting professionals for projects in Arizona. This position will be located in Phoenix, AZ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect water levels and basic measurements during aquifer/well testing
• Periodically work odd hours/night shifts during various phases of field activities
• Learn how to use pressure transducers and related software for water level analysis
• Perform site visits during well drilling operations to document field activities and collect data
• Communicate with Project Managers
• Document well materials and prepare “As-Built” diagrams
• Conduct groundwater and soil sampling in accordance with industry protocols
• Compile and analyze field and office data

Requirements:

• High School diploma or Associate’s Degree
• Possess OSHA 40-hour training and current 8-hour update
• Willingness to accept after-hour (evening and weekend) job assignments, sometimes on short notice
• Mechanical/construction aptitude and ability to learn new skills
• Have a good working knowledge of basic computer functions (Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
• 1-2 years of work experience
• Good communication and organization skills, ability to write legibly
• Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, plus reliable transportation
• Must be willing to travel locally and within state
