We have an opportunity for you to join our team: Warehouse Supervisor

We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor in our Advanced Technical Materials business. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for inventory, organization of the warehouse and traffic of products. The role is responsible for the oversight of manpower, equipment, and facility within division strategic budget and in accordance with organizational policies.

Primary Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Follows all company established methods, policies, rules, practices, and procedures to ensure employee safety, product quality and efficient operations.
  • Set direction for all warehouse personnel daily
  • Performs or advises duties of the shipping coordinator
  • Coordinate with production to ensure orders are picked in a timely manner
  • Ensure proper support supplied to production during shifts to include staging of raw materials and pallets
  • Manage all employee issues (hiring, performance reviews, and training).

Policies & Processes:

  • Review and optimize processes and procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and address material and hour manufacturing variances .
  • Provide support to internal audit for SOX compliance, as requested.
  • Maintain organization of warehouse.
  • Pallet maintenance in the yard.
  • Responsible for organization of racks.
  • Serve as Shipping/Receiving LN subject matter expert.
  • Coordinate corrugated storage and perform cycle counts as requested.
  • Organization and accuracy of pallet travelers.
  • Ensure samples are delivered for shipment.
  • Supervise disposal of scrap and trash.

Employee Engagement:

  • Reinforce Company mission and guiding principles through close engagement and interaction with site employees.
  • Partner with site leadership and local HR to maintain and support a positive, engaged working environment.

Performance Management:

  • Effectively track hourly employee attendance and PTO.
  • Partner with local HR for guidance and support in progressive discipline/corrective actions to ensure they are conducted consistently and in accordance to policy.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to employees on performance management and career development plans. Work closely with Human Resources Manager to ensure alignment.
  • Coach up and transversally when necessary

Analytics:

  • Analyze data regarding key operations metrics and provide recommendations based on results.
  • Monitor and address material and hour manufacturing variances
  • Provide support to internal audit for SOX compliance, as requested.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

Education/Certifications:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of warehousing experience
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills:

  • Good communication skills as well as analytical skills
  • Knowledge of MS office & Software
  • Advanced skills within Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
