Primary Responsibilities*

  • Participate in kickoff meetings, generating ideas and contributing to the development of the offer, concept, and creative execution determined for the project.
  • Search out facts and stories that illustrate the need and build a case for support.
  • Based on the strategy determined at the creative meeting, create copy that motivates and inspires people to want to participate in solutions to various needs.
  • Interact with a specific set of clients, research needed information and understand the manner and tone in which the client wants to communicate.
  • Organize resource to create a functional store of needed information.
  • Interpret creative direction and technical information, turning them into persuasive copy concepts.
  • Actively seek to keep abreast of new developments in the fields of direct response, fundraising and marketing.
  • Complete projects within budget and given time parameters set by the Studio Manager.

Requirements
Necessary Skills

  • Ability to work fast at a high quality level, with an ability to figure out things you’ve never done before
  • Independently imagine fresh new ideas that communicate an image, a message and generate a response.
  • Understanding of persuading through direct response copywriting
  • Ability to problem-solve content and workload hurdles
  • Ability to strategize and prioritize a large number of tasks at one time
  • Ability to maximize client-provided resources
  • Ability to digest high-level concepts and make them come to life
  • Experience with absorbing and working within client brand style guides
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, Premier After Effects), and other Mac-based computer software is a plus
  • Proven ability to work independently to set priorities, plan work, meet deadlines and manage time effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail-focused
  • Knowledgeable of computer technology and how to troubleshoot technical problems

Work Experience
2 Years of commercial agency experience, with a head wired as a marketer, a passion for solving creative problems and telling stories that move hearts and minds to action, and a solid understanding that we don’t get to do cool stuff all the time.
Education
BA or BS in communications, writing, or related fields preferred.
