Senior Vice President, People Analytics and Insights

Overview:

The Senior Vice President, People Analytics and Insights is responsible for leading globally distributed teams focused in harvesting internal and external insights to develop, support and/or execute initiatives that enable our people to power Mastercard's vision and business priorities.

This role is a critical contributor to the success of Mastercard's People and Capability efforts by building the foundation needed for a sustainable and best in class people analytics team focused on delivering on today's most pressing business needs while imagining the art of the possible. The remit of this role is global and enterprise-wide across all business units and regions.

The position reports to the Chief People Officer, and is part of Mastercard's People and Capability Leadership Team.

Role:

  • Define the vision, strategy and roadmap for the people analytics function at Mastercard
  • Build the team and capabilities needed in support of the multi-year roadmap
  • Monitor and report on internal and external macro trends that help our P&C community to improve and prioritize our product and services in order to remain a competitive employer and deliver our people strategic priorities
  • Work closely with People & Capability business partners and Centers of Excellence (COE) to produce operational reports, metrics, dashboards, and diagnostic insights in support of our business. Delivers insights that are productized and scaled
  • Build data literacy and democratize data access across the company, and enable People & Capability team members and people leaders to be more data driven
  • Validate and enforce people data integrity in source systems and downstream apps
  • Address data quality issues that enable trust and adoption of analytics tools
  • Develop and execute an integrated and best in class employee listening strategy
  • In partnership with other AI Garage and Data Science teams across the company, explore alternative data sets, advance and predictive analytics, modeling and forecasting to push the boundaries in more traditional analysis
  • Maintain strong coordination with other internal market research teams to ensure data and best practices are shared across the organization
  • Stay close emerging trends and legislation on data privacy, ethical use of AI, etc and partner closely with our data management and data privacy teams to help ensure our P&C practices and solutions are properly managed
  • Participate in all stages of the project including briefing, ideation, exploration of data, insights, storyboarding, and final presentation.
  • Represent Mastercard in HR forums to position us with highly differentiated people practices enabled by robust and state of the art people analytics

All About You:

  • Prior experience building a best in class People Analytics function - strongly preferred
  • Business acumen and tech savvy
  • Strong storyteller - comfortable leveraging the power of data insights in support of influencing key strategic decisions
  • Ability to challenge established views and assumptions at all levels
  • Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross-enterprise projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship management and leadership skills to influence and build credibility, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible
  • Accomplished in building, growing and nurturing a high performing team
  • Excellent relationship management skills and strong cross functional collaborator
  • A talent for managing complex projects and timelines effectively and handling evolving situations fluidly
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and fluid environment, staying calm under pressure
  • Must have solid knowledge of People processes, systems, and data
  • Familiarity with coding in SQL, R, Python, Tableau and other analytical tools
  • Experience with utilizing different machine learning and artificial intelligence tools
  • Global or multi-national business experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with people analytics and HR technologies
