General Job Description:

The role of the Document Control Specialist is to ensure all customer/regulatory documentation is free from errors and maintained as specified by all applicable regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Company Policy & Procedures and Department Procedures.
  • Operate within the quality manual, procedures and work instructions of the company.
  • Create documentation for use by inspectors, including (but not limited to):
    • Bubble Drawings
    • First Article Inspection Reports
    • Device History Records
  • Review completed document packages for completeness and accuracy. Works cross-functionally to resolve issues.
  • Creates Certificate of Conformance for products sold by MASS Precision, as specified by the customer.
  • Obtains 3rd party certifications and appends to document packages as required, including (but not limited to):
    • Raw Material Certifications
    • Finish Certifications
    • Paint Certifications
  • Submits documentation packages to the customer as required, in accordance with specified due dates.
  • Maintains MASS Quality Management System (QMS).
    • Reviews existing documentation to ensure suitability and adequacy.
    • Maintains revision control of all documentation.
    • Maintains QMS structure and ensures information is available to interested parties.

Education, Training & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate / Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to multitask and complete all assignments in a timely manner with accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to accomplish organizational goals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute.
  • Experience with DISCUS or Solidworks Inspection preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 requirements.

Hours/Shift & Location

Fremont, CA

Work schedule: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Friday
