Overview:This role is generally responsible for providing administrative and clinical support in a vascular medical office. This candidate will need to have availability on Thursdays and Fridays.This role will report to the Office Manager for operational matters and to clinical leadership for clinical matters.Responsibilities Room patients, prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health historyProvide compassionate patient support and care, attention and assistance during office visitsAssist provider during office visits and proceduresSet-up sterile field, assist with procedures, and perform routine specimen collection and testsStock supplies and sterilize equipmentPrepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instrumentsAssist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and examsAnswering office telephone, including assisting with scheduling patients, and providing 24-hour call backs to patients as neededProvide coverage until practice is closed for the day or last patient has left if after closing hoursManage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate suppliesComplete additional projects as requestedRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program preferred1 year experience in a medical setting, ideally surgicalBLS CertificationExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and team members in a courteous and friendly manner at all timesMust be detail-oriented and highly organizedFirm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policiesKnowledge of patient care and examination proceduresMust be able to maintain confidentiality at all times#WorcesterLP
