A new associate in our office will have the opportunity to develop a specialty or hone their clinical skills while collaborating with our established doctors. Whether your interest lies in Myopia Management, Pediatrics, Light Therapy, or something else, we have an extensive patient base that has been growing for over 30 years that can support the growth of any specialty. Our optical was recently remodeled. What you will do: As an Associate Optometrist, you will provide personalized and individualized full-scope optometry to patients of all ages, catering to both visual and medical diagnoses. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of the patient's experience, from conducting comprehensive exams to managing post-operative care, eye emergency visits, and check-ups. An average of twelve comprehensive exams are performed daily, with additional follow-up and urgent eye care appointments. Equipped with innovative technology such as Optos California, OptoVue Angio OCT, Topography, VR headset pretesting, and Zeiss VFA, you will have the resources at your disposal to provide the highest standard of care and stay at the forefront of the field. The position begins at 16 to 24 hours weekly. Who we are seeking: The ideal candidate has one to three years of clinical practice experience, demonstrating a current knowledge of optometric technology and practices-experience in pediatric eye care and myopia management is a plus. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as effective communication is vital in providing excellent patient care. The Associate Optometrist will have two veteran optometrists to mentor their understanding of private practice management. The candidate should have a genuine interest in buying into the practice, aligning with the practice's goal of growing the patient base and eventually becoming an equity partner. We encourage the associate to begin a specialization in our practice, such as myopia control or pediatric care, which would be a fantastic addition to our practice.
