Inspection Experts, Inc. is currently seeking a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to join our team as a senior technical support leader. This position is based in our Columbia, MD office and involves providing exceptional customer support. As a CIH, you will be responsible for conducting thorough environmental health and industrial hygiene investigations, studies, and evaluations. It is essential for the CIH to possess a comprehensive understanding of various standards and regulatory guidelines such as OSHA, EPA, ACGIH, ASHRAE, ANSI, NFPA and other industry standards.

The ideal candidate for this position should be an experienced professional with strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments in the areas of industrial hygiene, safety, and environmental practices.
• Deliver training sessions and act as a mentor to junior and mid-level industrial hygienists.
• Conduct assessments related to Indoor Air Quality, Water Quality, and Noise and Chemical exposure.
• Develop protocols, cost projections, and tentative schedules for surveying sites.
• Conduct quality assurance tasks pertaining to environmental health and industrial hygiene investigations, studies and evaluations.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the company.

This position requires a combination of both on-site and remote work for industrial hygiene activities. This will necessitate travel to the client site to conduct on-site assessments, while data entry and report writing tasks can be completed from either a home-based or office-based work environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Possess a B.S. or M.S. degree in Industrial Hygiene, safety, or related discipline.
• Possess an active Certified Industrial Hygienist Certificate.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain a federal identification.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Occasional travel within the U.S. may be required.
• Minimum of five or more years of relevant technical industrial hygiene experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in the Federal government is preferred.
• Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities based on workload demands.
• Demonstrated capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proficient computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
