Duties include: contribute in the analysis and design process, assists in generating potential solutions, and assists in evaluating those potential solutions to choose the best one; demonstrates the ability to turn analysis documentation into technical specifications; may prepare written specification documents; consider function, performance, reuse, availability and integration with existing systems in all designs; review designs of others to ensure those designs integrate successfully into existing systems; effectively utilize established development frameworks and methodologies; learn, use and enforce development standards; consistently meet assigned deadlines; understand prioritization and display the discipline necessary to work on high-priority tasks; seek additional work if primary tasks are complete; work effectively in a team setting; volunteer for tasks that help the team; contribute ideas and suggestions during team/group discussions; may guide or mentor others to deliver high quality solutions; demonstrate the ability to independently solve problems including the ability to analyze a problem, determine the underlying cause, and outline multiple solutions.
