You will work alongside fellow caregivers to provide high-quality patient care. The RN is responsible for the overall nursing care/service on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated.Primary Responsibilities:* Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.* Administers direct care, as necessary.* Administer prescribed medications to patients.* Make rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.* Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition.* Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.* Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered.* Responds to resident emergency call system.* Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.* Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.* Assures proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies.Qualifications:* All nurses must be currently licensed in MD. Must have current CPR certification.* Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields, at least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred.* Ability to build rapport with patients.* Compassionate and caring demeanor.* Familiarity with medical terminology.* Ability to work well in teams.All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
