Martha.com is seeking a Director of Planning to lead and be a part of an exciting growing team focused on digital excellence. You will lead and establish the merchandise planning department including martha.com and a new Martha Stewart ecommerce wholesale business.

Heres what you will do here:

  • Develop, execute and communicate strategic merchandise financial plans and strategies that support the merchandising and financial objectives of the Company. 
  • Establish an OTB process for in-season forecasts including class sales, receipts, markdowns and inventory
  • Partner with buying and brand management/product development by providing strategic recommendations to meet financial goals
  • Evaluate and monitor style selling on a weekly basis, partnering with buyers to effectively manage sales, markdowns, receipts and exit strategies
  • Provide recommendations to adjust purchasing levels, pricing, liquidation, and allocation strategies to ensure that finance objectives are being met
  • Partner with buying team to develop seasonal assortment plans, providing insight to inventory levels, style and sku productivity and proper channel receipts. Create pre-season plans at classification level for sales, margin, receipts and turn
  • Oversee all inventory management
  • Develop / Refine necessary reports for business management
  • Create Demand planning by week plans and report out on weekly sales

Other Responsibilities

  • Support for the newly formed ecommerce wholesale division with OTB and managing inventory health

You’re going to need this to carry out this job 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Passionate about home and understand the importance of curating a beautiful collection of products.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit- exciting opportunity to establish a new department and processes
  • Self-starter: you can highly function even when processes are vague 
  • Excellent analytical skills required to spot and analyze trends
  • Collaborative and value relationship management both with internal and external partners
  • Proficient in Excel, Netsuite experience a plus
