Data Engineer – New York, NY

Marquee Brands is hiring their first data engineer as it builds out an enterprise data warehouse for its portfolio of brands (BCBG, Dakine, Body Glove, Martha Stewart, and more). As our first data engineer you will play an instrumental role in shaping the architecture on roadmap for analytics among an array of brands and business categories.

Here’s what you will do here:

• Lead technical implementation of Data Warehousing projects across the Marquee Brands portfolio
• Collaborate with teams across departments and brands to identify, establish scope, and implement solutions supporting company growth and success
• Manage data integrity, policies, and protocols with internal and external partners
• Collaborate with legal teams to ensure data usage is compliant w/ laws in areas our businesses operate
• Guide organization through building scalable reusable data processes
• Procure and implement best in class data technologies
• Develop culture of robust data documentation 

You’re going to need this to carry out this job:

• 5 years experience using SQL, Python, and/or dbt – particularly in a data transformation and analytics enablement context
• Strong understanding of data modelling concepts and modern data stack
• Solid Tableau (or other BI tool) experience
• Familiarity with modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, etc.)
• Experience with ETL scheduling tools like Airflow
• Exceptional communication skills and a strong documentation ability
