MarketSource is currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist serves as a primary advisor to an assigned customer base, focused on providing day-to-day support to field management as well as to employees. The HR Consultant provides customers with a full range of multi-state HR support, including Performance Management, Employee Relations, D&I Support, Employee Engagement, Compensation Analysis, and Policy Interpretation. The HR Generalist will partner with all other HR service providers to deliver seamless HR assistance and support. This position reports to the Human Resources Business Partner.
Essential Functions:
• Maintains an effective level of business acumen about their customer’s performance, culture, and priorities
• Serves as primary consultant and liaison with assigned customer base; accountable for ensuring HR solutions are adding value to the customer
• Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR Services to develop effective Performance Management solutions
• Partners with both MarketSource and Allegis HR Services to deliver seamless HR assistance and support to the customer
• Investigates and respond to EEOC and State Agencies as requested; partner with HR Business Partner and legal department as needed/required
• Manages ADA accommodation requests for assigned customer base; work in collaboration with the respective field manager
• Operates as principal Point of Contact and Liaison to field management for Worker’s Compensation claims for assigned customer base; partners with Risk Management and Adjuster on direction given for each claim
• Coordinates and Facilitate HR related training as needed
• Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation; ensure HR processes are optimized in assigned customers
• Approves salaries for new hires, promotions, transfers as required
• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Approves decisions to involuntarily terminate employees; partner with legal department as needed/required
• Manages resolution of employee relation issues for assigned customers; ensure investigations are effective, thorough and objective
• Participates in career development issues, discussing career paths with line managers and employees
Essential Functions Cont.:
• Investigates and advises both management and employees on employee relations issues related to salary, promotion, disciplinary action, terminations and harassment
• Conducts line manager feedback and coaching meetings with new managers and their teams when needed
• Responsible for handling compensation analysis and job evaluations as needed
Supervisory or Management Responsibility/Decision Making Level:
• No direct reports or will reside with this position
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years HR experience encompassing multiple human resource disciplines including multi-state: employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and other generalist responsibilities
Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:
• Ability to provide consistent HR generalist support to multiple states
• Strong conflict management and negotiation skills
• Employee Relations experience with a remote workforce
• Excellent interpersonal and consulting skills
• Ability to influence decisions without direct authority
• Customer-focused and Responsive
• Experience developing trusted relationships with field management and employees
• Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities
• Self-directed, motivated and engaged; willing and able to commit the time necessary to accomplish position objectives
• Proficient in MS Office ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
