Paramount Printing is seeking a Purchasing Manager responsible for coordinating purchases of various products and services including the ordering of supplies, inventory, equipment, and services for all departments of the company. This position manages the purchasing process as well as procures and contracts for goods and services.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage the purchasing process including the buying and distributing supplies and products for the company
• Review new project proposals for the company
• Communicate with the marketing and sales team to effect working strategies
• Analyze existing purchasing processes for performance
• Implement improvements to existing purchasing process and systems
• Handle contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers
• Identify ideal suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability
• Maintain a good rapport with the company's clientele
• Follows up on open purchase orders, resolves any issues with back orders, missing items, receipt of wrong or defective materials
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Strong MS Excel experience required
• At least 5 years’ experience in the purchasing / procurement in the same industry is required
• A bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
• Strong understanding of the market conditions and trends
• Working knowledge of negotiation techniques in the industry
• Detailed oriented, with the ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines
• High energy, able to multitask, work in a very fast paced environment, critical thinking, and willing to learn about products that are being bought that may not be familiar
• Exceptional interpersonal and social skills to build a good rapport
• Positive and professional demeanor
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be a great team player
