Inventory Control Coordinator

American Display & Fixture, Marketing Alliance Group company (MAG) is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to oversee the material management function. The inventory control manager responsibilities comprise managing, controlling, and monitoring the activities related to inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy
- Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventories
- Manage cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis
- Coordinate with customer service and logistics departments
- Check date-sensitive products for expiration and facilitate removal or transfer of product as needed
- Train other employees in asset inventory management
- Establish trusted relationships with suppliers to ensure quality service and cost-effective deals
- Developing inventory analysis reports and analyzing variances
- Assisting in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory
- Verifying accurate costs
- Analyze changes on the methods of production, goods and services provided, and even raw materials to know how they affect cost
- Operate with a high sense of urgency and take daily action to assure production and assembly areas have the materials when needed as needed.
- Ensure that overstocks are minimized, and that the redundant and obsolete raw materials are removed.
Requirements
- A combination of education and experience that is the equivalent of 5 years in manufacturing operations, or supply chain is required along with knowledge in the management related area of logistics and materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient user of MS Excel.
- Understanding of or experience in Cost Accounting a plus.
- Experience using an ERP or similar system for managing orders and inventory in a manufacturing environment.
