Job Summary: The Data Engineer works in an Agile team in a multi-technology environment and contributes to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications. The Database Engineer will be responsible for optimizing our databases and help to maintain data integrity, security, and recovery. They will work closely with developers, data advisors, and key users and contribute to the success of the product delivery and support. The successful candidate will: Ensure overall database availability and performance. Analyze database performance and recommend enhancements as appropriate. Manage the database structure, database standards, and backup/recovery procedures. Develop automated data quality health checks to identify data quality issues and provide solutions for remediation. Monitor database growth and provide input for overall planning. Work closely with application developers to optimize query performance and review SQL code. Performs database testing to ensure quality is met and compare with expected results.
