Mark Spain Real Estate is Hiring a Director of Sales Near Tampa, FL

About the Role:

Join one of America’s fastest-growing companies! We’re looking for an experienced, sales-oriented Director of Sales (DOS) to join our fast-growing team. The Director of Sales is accountable for fostering the growth and development of a successful sales team focusing attention andeffort across two key areas: people and strategy. 

People

Managing people involves forming and leading an effective sales team as well as creating a team culture that values positive relationships, high productivity, and flexibility to meet the needs of our clients, all while achieving the financial goals of the business.

The Director of Sales (DOS) continuously monitors and evaluates the team’s need for talent to ensure the right people are staffed to achieve company goals while serving as a leader in providing coaching and feedback frequently to drive the performance of the individuals on the team.

Strategy 

A successful DOS is a strategic business leader looking at the bigger picture and is constantly engaged in decision-making and problem-solving. Decisions made by the Director of Sales have both immediate and long-term effects on the company.

In this role, you will: 

  • Meet mutually agreed upon transaction goals established with the MSRE leadership team
  • Build relationships with the Board of Realtors and agents in the community
  • Maintain strong relationships with the MSRE leadership team and sales team
  • Train, coach, and hold direct reports accountable
  • Develop systems to make the office run efficiently
  • Develop a talent bench of future leaders
  • Minimize turnover through effective coaching and weekly accountability sessions
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings and daily huddles to keep the team focused and on task

We’re looking for a team member who has:

  • Bachelors' degree in business, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of sales experience
  • 3 years of experience leading/managing people, building, and leading a team and resource planning to support the hiring plan of the company 
  • 2 years of real estate experience (Property management, homebuilding, residential, ibuyer, commercial) is  preferred
  • Have or the ability to obtain a Real Estate License(s) 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled at using data to analyze recruiting trends and gaps, diagnose challenges, and develop solutions to improve recruiting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and team management skills
  • Strong decision-making skills and a sense of urgency
  • Proven success in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for growing a business
  • Accountable for transactiongoals, 
  • Understand financial data and display ownership for profits and losses
  • Look to continue to improve upon the status quo andcreate efficiencies
  • Focus on an exceptional client experience
