Shades by Matiss, a locally based, fast growing custom shade manufacturing business, is looking for a talented, dedicated drapery specialist to lead our newly opened drapery workroom. We use top Eisenkolb automated drapery /roman shade equipment and we need a motivated, organized, detailed leader who can grow with us in perfecting and providing impeccable craftsmanship to our clients.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have at least 5 years of progressive experience in a drapery/roman shade manufacturing industry
• Have effective communication skills and be bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Lead production staff of 4-8 seamstresses
• Motivate and support staff
• Ensure all safety and health standards are met
• Develop and implement production policies and procedures
• Work with Project Managers to meet client expectations
• Oversee quality
• Manage staff schedule
• Manage the production schedule
• Provide timely production related information
• Communicate on a daily basis with Project Managers
• Be responsible for employee retention and success
• Demonstrate the ability to manage conflict
• Have excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ensure that all staff are fully trained
• Build an accountable and collaborative culture
• Develop key production metrics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
