Marinette School District is Hiring a Government Property Specialist Near Marinette, WI

POSITION SUMMARY

Government Property Specialists provide support to the Government Property Manager (GPM) by executing the following tasks across the company and offering continuous improvement options to process owners in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements. The candidate will be responsible for auditing, executing, and improving the company's processes and procedures in support of an approved Government Property Management System (GPMS). The candidate will ensure compliance to GPMS procedures by adhering to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense FAR Supplement (DFAR), and contractual requirements. The candidate will coordinate property management through the entire lifecycle for all property under company cognizance. The candidate will receive assignments/special projects from the GPM, which must be completed on time and to the satisfaction of management and applicable Government customers. The candidate must be aware of and comply with all FMM Safety programs and policies. The candidate must be able to produce written and electronic documentation of actions, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and support compliance with FAR and DFARS requirements, applicable Department of Defense Instructions, Industry Leading Practices and Voluntary Consensus Standards.
  • Read, comprehend, and occasionally suggest contractual requirements with regard to property management.
  • Conduct physical inventories and utilization reviews of GP in accordance with the GPMS Internal Surveillance Schedule.
  • Develop and submit contractually required reports as assigned (e.g., Inventory Disposal Schedules, Property Loss Reports, Discrepancies Incident to Shipment, etc.).
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with cross-functional groups across the company.
  • Support compliance to FMM Safety programs and policies.
  • Strive to meet and exceed company goals and objectives.
  • Develop, advance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, advance and support Lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Must abide by and report all deviations from company policies and procedures.

SKILLS

  • Computer skills with experience using the Microsoft Office suite of tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with ERP/MRP platforms preferable.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly and effectively communication with internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Ability to work in an office and outdoor environment.
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
