Temporary Position
Maria Regina Residence, located in Brentwood, NY on Long Island, is seeking qualified Recreation Specialists to join our team in our skilled nursing home. We want to speak with naturally caring, empathetic candidates who are focused on providing the best quality of life possible for every patient in their care, with patience, courteousness and tactful interactions with residents, staff, family members and visitors.
This is a temporary position, to last approximately 6 months.

Position Overview:
Recreation Aides at Maria Regina Residence assist with providing quality daily program offerings. As a key member of the care team, help organize, facilitate and promote Therapeutic Recreation programs in large group, small group and individual resident events. You will interact directly with the residents, and ensure quality care and that the social, emotional, cultural, physical and spiritual needs of the residents of Maria Regina are being met.

Some of the key requirements:
- Prior experience working in Therapeutic Recreation preferred; recent, relevant experience working with the geriatric population required
- Flexible schedule, with the ability to work every other weekend
- Will be friendly and sociable and be able to provide comfort to patients with good interpersonal skills - both verbal and in writing
- Team member - with a collaborative, team-based work environment, we are looking for individuals who embrace a high level of care, compassion and teamwork
- Vaccinated against COVID-19
