SUMMARY

Maryland and Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative Association (MDVA) is a growing company that is looking for a Demand Planning Analyst to join our team.MDVA is a place where you can grow in your career and make a positive impact every day.

As a Demand Planning Analyst this individual is responsible for a broad range of demand planning activities to support the wider organization. This position will be a hybrid telecommuting role based out of the Herndon, VA Corporate Office.The position will be expected to travel as needed.

We are searching for a talented Demand Planning Analyst to ensure our company’s operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. This is a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, which requires an individual who can maintain a high level of professionalism and accuracy while meeting the needs of the Company.

This position's primary functions are to provide statistical analysis of sales, inventory flow, and other data; modeling the data to predict future demand; and collaboration with suppliers, manufacturers, salespeople, and other stakeholders to gather information on events that could affect demand, such as promotions and production delays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·Provide statistical analysis of sales, inventory, and other data.

·Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.

·Model data to predict future demand.

·Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, salespeople, and other stakeholders to gather information on events that could affect demand, such as promotions and production delays.

·Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly forecast maintenance.

·Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

·Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

·This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

·Strong computer skills with proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

·Forecasting food/shelf life/perishable product experience.

·Inventory management experience.

·Experience with analysis and problem-solving skills (i.e., ability to question, accurately identify a need, and present an effective solution.

·Ability to follow and understand big-picture economic trends.

·Strong analytical math skills.

·Understanding of statistical modeling.

·SAP knowledge.

·Time management skills.

·Organizational skills.

·Attention to detail.

·Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·Capability to multitask in a fast-faced environment.

·Ability to work with others in a team environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

·At least 3 years of experience in a demand planning/forecasting role.

·Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or other related field.
