Maple Leaf Foods is Hiring a Plant Administrator Near Guelph,

 The Opportunity:

This position is responsible for a variety of administrative and support services for the Speedvale facility

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Acts as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding vacations and scheduling
  • Coordinates input from cross-functional areas (Operations, Material Control, and Supply Chain Planning) to assist in laying out personnel requirements to achieve committed schedules as related to desired customer service levels
  • Determine daily labour required to satisfy production requirements
  • Coordinate with temporary staffing agencies on requirements for daily and weekly schedules and providing a monthly outlook.
  • Timely creation of daily personnel schedules
  • Following up with issues related to absenteeism and scheduling conflicts
  • Works closely with People Ambassadors to onboard new employees
  • Responsible for all activities regarding couriers
  • Ordering of production and office supplies
  • Drive departmental continuous improvement initiatives
  • Tracks and initiates the completion of probationary reviews for new hires within the production and maintenance department.

What You’ll Bring:

The successful candidate will be results-oriented, thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment, and can develop positive working relationships with all employees. Preferred candidates should have:
 
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration preferred or previous experience
  • Administrative experience an asset
  • Experience using SAP
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence and impact others at various levels within the organization to achieve results
  • Ability to use complex optimizing tools to reduce production costs including changeovers and downtime
  • Advanced in Microsoft office and applications
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with multiple, tight, and changing priorities
