Summary

Provide personal care service, assistance with activities of daily living, and administer medications to resident in accordance with each resident’s care plan and state regulations.

Education

Requires the ability to understand moderately complex mathematical formulas and charts or organize diversified information and apply fundamental principles of a science. Equivalent to a four (4) year U.S. high school education, two (2) years of advanced education or equivalent specialized training. Successful completion of all state required courses and exams.

Experience

Over six (6) months of experience in a long-term care facility or home health.

Job Duties

• Distribute and record medications properly.
• Provide direct personal assistance needed by residents, including assisting residents when necessary on an individual basis with their bathing, dressing, eating, walking, going up and down steps, and attending to any personal needs the residents may be unable to attend to themselves.
• Respond immediately in case of an accident or incident involving a resident and make a proper report of the incident.
