Description
Mann Wireless does the important work of making cell phones and emergency responder radios work in buildings. We are looking for a full-time Low Voltage technician for our Largo, FL office. Experience in any low voltage area is welcome, although experience in the wireless telecommunications space is helpful. Training will be provided! Entry-level and experienced candidates are welcome to apply!
Install low voltage cabling and related components/support structures in commercial environments (airports, hospitals, apartment complexes, stadiums etc.).
Requirements
Ability to interface effectively with customers (written and verbal communication skills)
Willingness to work overtime as required
Must be willing to travel Monday-Friday overnight (home on weekends)- travel costs are covered by company
Mechanically/construction inclined
Prior Low-Voltage experience
Must like physical work
Must be capable of lifting 80 lbs unassisted
Must be able to climb and work from ladders and lifts
Must be able to walk, stand, carry and reach throughout the day
Must be able to pass a drug screen, physical, criminal background check and drivers license check
Must be a team player
Low Voltage Experience
Familiarity with cable types
Familiar with construction sites and related hand tools (cordless drills, wire cutters, related PPE etc.)
Rack and stack work
Fiber splicing experience
Ability to read and understand floor plans
Experience in wireless telecommunications
Knowledge of RF theory
Use of analyzers and related test equipment
Related AS, BS or Military experience helpful (Electrical Engineering, Engineering Tech, Construction Mgmt, IT, Telecommunications etc.)
