About the role

As VP of Communications, you will be fully responsible for all internal and external content and communications for Mangata. As an integral member of the People & Brand team, you will cultivate the voice of our company and build the Mangata brand globally by telling our story through strategic and creative marketing communications.

Who are you? You are an experienced communications professional who has worked in a global context, and is willing and excited to think beyond the traditional (and can demonstrate experience doing so); open to questioning the norms, and willing to experiment with different, and sometimes unconventional approaches to solutions.

In your role, you will be fully responsible for the communications function. You will report to the SVP, Design and Brand, and work closely with the Chief People & Brand Officer, acting as a subject matter expert with strong advice for your leadership team. You will subsequently build and lead a team of writers, social media marketers, and content strategists to carry out creative communication initiatives.

Requirements for the role

• Experience working across global markets (North America, EMEA and Asia)
• Bold, creative, and strategic thinker with attention to detail and a deep understanding of what it takes to execute impactful communications
• Willingness to learn about new concepts, products and technology, and an ability to communicate these concepts with simplicity and elegance

• Experience working with PR and Media partners to fully lead and execute PR campaigns
• Demonstrated impact in landing meaningful coverage and cultivating media relationships

• Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills are essential

• Experience with people management, or a penchant to cultivate a values-driven team

You will be working on things like

• Delivering on all content and communication needs for the company, internal and external, by collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to capture and deliver on their needs
• Building and maintaining internal and external communication processes

• Creating compelling marketing communications across various media; in formats such as broadcast, print, digital, podcast, video, newsletters, blogs, and social platforms etc.

• Guiding your team to cultivate communications by being a leader & thinker, yet paying attention to the minute details, ensuring the highest level of quality in every deliverable

• Devising communications strategies surrounding major company news, and working with agency partners in PR and Media to execute global press release campaigns

• Closely monitoring and following Mangata’s trajectory in the media; carving out areas of opportunity for Mangata’s story-telling 
• Providing senior counsel and support as required for inbound media inquiries and issues
