Risk and Compliance Manager

We are looking for a strong leader to fill a Risk and Compliance Manager opening on our growing team! You'll be responsible for driving the continuous improvement of Mammoth's Compliance Program by establishing, monitoring, and enhancing compliance practices across the organization. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Risk and Compliance Manager will lead compliance training, compliance data collection/analysis and coordinate with company leaders to develop appropriate risk management efforts designed to assess and close process gaps.

What We Do:

Mammoth Restoration puts people's lives back together after a property has suffered damage from a fire, flood, or similar tragedy. Our team helps the property owner recover by cleaning up, drying out, and rebuilding. Restoration is one of the largest industries in the country…that most people don’t even know exists

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive vendor management. Includes the design and implementation of appropriate controls over vendor agreements and purchasing practices.
  • Serves as key company contact for facility lease arrangements and ensures the proper review/administration of lease agreements.
  • Provides regulatory support with respect to business registration, licensing, wage/payroll compliance, and sales tax compliance
  • Supports the organization as liaison/coordinator of dispute resolution. Works with legal counsel, and internal team members to direct dispute resolution (customer and/or vendor). Recommends settlement options to the company’s ownership group or Leadership Team
  • Manages the company’s insurance contracts, insurance certificate acceptance, insurance certificate issuance, and claims administration. Serves as the primary point of contact with the company’s insurance carriers and brokers.
  • Supports the underwriting of performance bond requests.
  • Communicates with department managers regarding new and revised regulations and other changes to government accounting principles and practices.
  • Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
  • Able to provide financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
  • Able to file quarterly and annual reports with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Law, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Ten years or more of related experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
